Speak at a Collegiate Chapter Event
Indicate your availability, campuses you are willing to travel to, and areas of expertise on this form. Collegiate Leaders will reach out as they plan fall and spring events.
Serve as a Collegiate Leader
If you are interested in serving as a collegiate leader, want more information about your chapter, or want to start a new one, reach out to Emily Morales, Collegiate Relations & Events Associate at emily@lillyscholarsnetwork.org.
Current Scholars attending an institution without an active collegiate chapter are welcome to reach out to Collegiate Relations & Events Associate Emily Morales to be connected to other Scholars on their campus, schedule an event on their campus, and garner interest for a chapter at their campus.
Join the Advisory Council
The Lilly Scholars Network Advisory Council accepts applications from Scholars who are interested in joining the Advisory Council each spring. Strong candidates are passionate about the Lilly Scholars Network and engaged in their communities.
Join a Committee
Two committees are available for all Scholars to join: the Events & Scholar Engagement committee and Program committee.
Both committees meet eight times a year for one hour. Meeting times may be found on lillyscholarsnetwork.org. To learn more about the committee offerings, visit the committee portion of this page.
Serve at Lilly Scholars Launch
In addition to Lilly Scholars Network staff being onsite at all times, Collegiate Scholars from around the state will serve as Cabin Leaders during Launch. Cabin Leaders will lead new Scholars in icebreakers, participate in activities, stay overnight in cabins with Scholars, and share about their own experiences in small group discussions.
Alumni Scholars share advice, run registration, and serve as an extension of staff, in conjunction with Cabin Leaders. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Katie Swanson at katie@lillyscholarsnetwork.org.
Lead Sessions at Collegiate Connect
Alumni Lilly Scholars make Collegiate Connect possible. Volunteers help facilitate Collegiate Connect programming, including Skills Sessions, Career Discussions, and Mock Interviews.
Volunteering your time at Collegiate Connect is an impactful way to give back and help current Scholars prepare for successful futures. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Katie Swanson at katie@lillyscholarsnetwork.org.
Aid in Event Preparation
Scholars local to the Indianapolis area can aid in event preparations (nametag stuffing, printing, packing) in advance of large events, including Collegiate Connect, Lilly Scholars Launch, and the INfuse Summit. Reach out to LSN staff at info@lillyscholarsnetwork.org with your availability.
Mentor a Scholar
Alumni Scholars and community members with at least five years of professional experience are eligible to mentor Current and Alumni Lilly Scholars through Scholar Link. Participants in our mentorship program are matched in September and meet virtually or in-person monthly from October-March. To indicate your interest in serving as a mentor, visit the Scholar Link page.
Co-Host a Dine IN
Dine IN events are regional networking dinners that are an opportunity to engage with fellow Scholars in their local communities. Co-hosts may aid in restaurant selection, guiding conversation at dinner, and sharing about LSN opportunities. To suggest a restaurant location and date, email emily@lillyscholarsnetwork.org.
