“Scholars Launch was a great way for me to meet more like minded people and share time with them in a setting different from a college campus.”

What’s a change you’d like to see in your community/our state?

Probably not the answer you are expecting, but definitely the potholes, especially around the Indy area. They are insane and the size of a person.

What’s the last novel you read?

The last novel/book I read was Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. The book is an 11/10. It takes you into Matthew McConaughey’s life with a blend of life lessons, reflections, and guides you to look at life with authenticity. The main motif is that when life seems to be going your way, it will give you a string of green lights, but when things are tricky, you are stuck at a red or yellow light and must think about what led you to this moment.

Greenlights has helped me through my toughest times, and I read it once a month to make sure everything in my life is as good as it can be. I would recommend it for anyone; it is a book where the themes and lessons can apply to anyone.

What motivates you?

The one thing that motivates me is the fact that there is always someone out there who is also working towards the same thing as I am, and to be the best, you have to out work those same people.

What has been your favorite LSN experience?

Easily my favorite experience was the Scholars Launch at Bradford Woods.

Scholars Launch was a great way for me to meet more like minded people and share time with them in a setting different from a college campus. I still talk to a lot of the people I met there and it has been a blast seeing them evolve.

What’s one community organization you’re proud to be a part of?

A community organization I am proud to be a part of is Delta Tau Delta. Our fraternity’s philanthropy efforts are top within our national organization. Our main philanthropic partner is Riley Children’s Hospital. We fundraise year-round and put in the most work during our “Trike” week, where the whole week is centered around raising money for Riley.
